The
GIA-certified colored diamonds shown below have been SOLD,
but are left on the WCM website to depict just a small sampling of the types and quality of
these very rare gems that WCM can obtain for clients in
relatively quick order and with excellent pricing. If
you have a specific set of criteria for a fancy colored
diamond, please do not hesitate to email me at deals@fancy-colored-diamonds.com
or call toll-free at 877-855-9760. Or just fill our
the Request Form below. I will be happy
to discuss the most important selection criteria for
colored diamonds, especially with respect to the
significant differences in the requirements of cut and
clarity as they are always applied to the much more common
brilliant white diamond.

VIVID Yellow-ORANGE,

I have been reviewing the famous colored diamond collection named
the Aurora Collection collected by Alan Bronstein and captured in
the classic reference guide, "Forever Brilliant".
The common names for the rainbow of colors available in colored
diamonds is primarily what I was researching at the moment.
And the diamond offered here is the ever elusive, "Pumpkin".
Now purists would say that a true pumpkin colored diamond would
not have any secondary hue such as yellow present, but I would
label this diamond a Yellowish ORANGE to begin with! The
transmission of orange makes this "orange" diamond as
Orange as an orange diamond can be. Now, this diamond is
just out of the eye-clean range of clarity with an Included 1
designation, but as I try to inform collectors of colored
diamonds: "Don't get fooled into thinking that the
standards of clarity that pertain to brilliant white diamonds are
to be equally applied to fancy colored diamonds". It is
all about color, and this diamond's coloration is a magnificent
pumpkin orange that is very, very, very rare. And did I
mention the price is a bargain.

Fancy Pink PURPLE,

SOLD

All I can say about this diamond is, WOW! Remember that
Purple, the color of royalty throughout the ages, is rarer than
both Blue and Pink. This Pink Purple diamond is even more
rare as an Oval cut, because there just aren't that many colored
diamonds that are chiseled into this shape due to the dispersion
of color in the rough diamond. When we have a predominantly
PURPLE diamond available for sale, they don't last very long, so
sell some of those overpriced stocks and liquidate some of that
investment real estate, and give me a call! This diamond
will do very well over the years because it is truly one of a
kind.

RED IS THE RAREST OF ALL COLORED DIAMOND HUES. And Purple is
right below it on the rarity scale. Then Orange, then Green,
then Blue, then Pink. See what rarefied company this Creme
de la Creme color has and the rarest of the rare aren't as rare as
Red. This gem looks more like a Burma Ruby to me, but the
astute collector that acquires this beauty will be pleased not
only with its stunning eye appeal in the years ahead, but how it
holds and magnifies its value. If you were to buy just one
Fancy Colored Diamond in your lifetime, this would be it.
Heck, I just may buy it myself.

It think the word "WOW" is also spelled
O-R-A-N-G-E. We are so pleased with our international
cutters and brokers who have been providing us with superb orangey
and orange diamonds since the beginning of the year. Most
jewelers, brokers, and collectors do not realize how very, very
rare an orange diamond is. It really boils down to the basic
color wheel: If red is the rarest color and yellow is
somewhat rare, the orange combination is going to be very close to
the top of the rarity scale. Unless you placed this diamond
on a bright yellow background, you would observe first-hand that
the overpowering hue in this diamond is Orange. Beautifully
cut gem in the age-old classic Emerald cut, with large facets that
just can't wash out the Vivid saturation of this colored
diamond. Once again, the cutter knew he had a very eye-clean
rough to dare cut the gem utilizing the large mirror-like facets
of the Emerald cut. If there were visible inclusions,
clouds, feathers, spots, they would show up glaringly and spoil
the presentation of the finished gem. But, clean as a
whistle, this evening sunburst is a solid VS2 clarity and hard to
match. Large, beautiful rare gem, reasonably priced.

This diamond should be sold with sunglasses. VIVID
Orange diamonds are not easy to find, and if we were not pushing
our suppliers in India to find them for us, we would not have them
to offer our valued clients. The color speaks for itself in
this Vivid Yellow ORANGE diamond where the secondary yellowish
hues are present but the Orange is so vivid in presentation that
the yellows are basically an afterthought. AND the Orange
hues are vividly present. Marquise diamonds lend themselves
to a diverse range of jewelry pieces so feel free to contact us to
discuss a WCM Jewelry piece centered around this magnificent
gem. May & June must be Orange Diamond Month, but if it doesn't say that on
your calendar, make it so. Very clean colored diamond.

While the Argyle Mine in Australia has stated that they will not
be totally closing the very mine that produces the vast majority
of pink diamond rough in the world, everyone in the colored
diamond industry knows that the pink rough production numbers
going forward are destined to decline over the next several years
to minimal levels. Pink diamonds over the last 4 years are
up around 130%, and most experts agree that we are only in the
early stages of a generational bull market in fancy colored
diamonds, especially pinks, that will last well into the next
decade. When the U.S. Federal Reserve is bent on flooding
the global monetary system with Dollars to keep the Ponzi Scheme
going on fiat currency and to monetarize massive U.S. debt with
cheapened Dollars, there will be more than enough liquidity
available globally to keep colored diamond prices high and
higher. It is impossible to forecast what the global
financial and economic landscape will look like in 10 years, but
one fact I do know: Fancy Pink diamonds will be more rare
than they are today due to non-existent supply and continued
demand as a Store of Wealth. Oh, and did I mention this was
a Pure Pink diamond without any secondary color modifier ........
very, very rare.

There is nothing quite like a VIVID PINK diamond ...... that is
not only getting rarer and rarer by the day due to a perpetual
exhaustion of the known supply from the Australian Argyle Mine,
but is truly one of the most striking gemstones one can
observe. This well-cut specimen is wonderfully colored with
a very rich pink body with the tasteful influence of the purplish
tinge evenly painted throughout the gem. An
"eye-clean" colored diamond in the ever-popular Radiant
cut that will sell for many thousands of dollars over this
offering price in the months ahead. Not only do we have
trouble finding and keeping pink diamonds in inventory, but we
need to hire a dedicated accountant just to keep up with the
periodic price increases. He or she who waits until 2007 and
beyond will end of paying 10's of percentages more for their fancy
colored PINK diamond, especially one of VIVID color saturation.

This rich raspberry colored diamond has so much going for it, I
hardly know where to begin. 1.) Very rare pink
diamond. 2.) Vivid color saturation AND a pink. 3.)
Rare Oval cut. 4.) Very clean colored diamond with VVS2
Clarity. 5.) Purplish secondary hue, a rare color in itself.
I know I sound like a broken record when I talk about how
difficult it is to find superb Pink Colored Diamonds, but I will
say it one more time. Of all the colored diamonds that a
collector or investor could put in a portfolio today, my first
recommendation, if you can find an example as excellent as this
diamond, is to buy a GIA certified Pink Diamond. There is no
question in the trade that this is an increasing rare colored
diamond.

VIVID Orangey Yellow,

This is a truly outstanding Yellow diamond slightly seasoned with
faint Orangey hues. While clarity has seldom been a major
issue in Colored Diamonds, when a near-Flawless specimen at VVS1
comes onto the market, the bid instantly rises in today's pricing
schema of new collectors and investors seeking diamond
perfection. Take some time to click on the GIA logo above to
study the outstanding characteristics of this very well made
diamond. While compromises in cut and clarity are expected
in colored diamonds since color in the rough is seldom uniform,
this saffron colored gem sports the more technically stringent
specifications for White Brilliant diamonds. We expect some
of the greatest price increases in colored diamonds, especially
Yellows, to occur in the 2 to 5 carat range this year and beyond,
as collectors and investors continue to take available supply of
the larger gems off the marketplace for many, many years to
come. A stunningly large Yellow diamond at a not-so-stunning
price.

As I have recently reaffirmed, I am rather partial to Brown
diamonds, the Rodney Dangerfield of fancy colored diamonds that
just can't get any respect. Since the market place has not
priced Brown diamonds according to their true rarity, especially
with large browns being irradiated into large white diamonds (with
full disclosure to the buyer, of course), I am more than happy to
obtain all of the large Browns I can at these temporarily cheap
prices. The combination of Pink in this diamond on an equal
footing with the Brown makes this a very appealing colored diamond
by any measure. Emerald cuts allow the cutter to take a
darkly saturated rough as in this diamond, and create a more
brilliant, flashy gem than otherwise would be the case with
virtually any other cut. This exceedingly clean Pink-Brown diamond
would make a stunning pendant for a necklace that would certainly
set the wearer apart from the crowd.

As a colored diamond broker, I am spellbound when I get the asking
prices from the cutters these days for a large Vivid Yellow
diamond. AND THAT IS IF YOU CAN FIND ONE! Colored
diamonds are no longer a closely held secret investment area for a
select clique of in-the-know cosmopolitans. Since the yellow
category is one of the most affordable, it is naturally the area
of concentration for most beginning collections or
investments. But as you increase the diamond weight from 2
carats and reach the VIVID color saturation level, due to the
surge in capable buyers, the pricing structure begins to rise
exponentially, certainly not linearly. But enough about
price ..... just look at this beauty that would most likely sell
for over to $200,000 at Tiffany's or most jewelers for that
matter. The cutter that was lucky enough to obtain this
yellow diamond in the rough knew that it was ALMOST FLAWLESS with
a Clarity Grade of Very Very Slightly Included, Level 2 AND
he then knew that he could create a stunning gem by utilizing the
large, highly reflective facets of the EMERALD CUT to create an
even rarer fancy colored diamond. The richness of the yellow
would not be washed out since he had the rich Vivid coloration
level also. Furthermore, large facets tend to reveal internal
inclusions more readily in a colored diamond, but there were
virtually none to be revealed in the first place in this
outstanding, well-made Yellow diamond. Buy a Vivid Yellow
Diamond while you can. One of my favorite cuts.
Timeless.

There
is no question that the supply of Fancy Pink colored diamonds is
becoming tighter and tighter as we approach the new year, not to
mention the monthly escalations in price. This well-cut
diamond exhibits a very rich purplish coloration, but even more
significant are the flashes of pure red reflecting from within the
gem. This colored diamond could be described as a raspberry
coloration, and buyers of pink diamonds today are very likely to
enjoy stellar appreciation in the years ahead as past buyers have.

Fancy BLUE,

This Blue diamond is so saturated in coloration that we are
surprised it was not graded a Fancy Intense Blue. I don't
have to tell anyone versed in the Rarity Spectrum for Colored
Diamonds that Blue is rarer than Pink and only has Red and Green
above it on the ultra-rarity scale. WCM and its
international diamond brokers have made it a strategy for 2006 and
beyond to concentrate as much as possible on the most rare of
colored diamonds with respect to sourcing primarily from the
cutters. I and my associates know that as time passes over
the next several years, it will be more and more difficult to
obtain these rarest of the rare colored diamonds. And the
prices that will be required to obtain them at the customer level
will be substantially higher than today. If it is the
tendency and even the necessity for the Central Banks of the world
to continue to pump massive quantities of liquidity into the
global economy to keep it afloat, you can rest assured that the
buying power of fancy colored diamonds will improve even as
sovereign currencies devalue. We may not experience a
hyper-inflation a la the early 1980's, but all of the seeds have
been sown for much higher inflation than we have had over the last
20 years. Very, very blue and very clean Blue diamond.

I can't impress on prospective and current colored diamond
investors enough how truly rare green diamonds are. Just
below Red, Purple, and Orange on the super rarity scale is pure
Green, rarer than Blue and Pink. Of course, secondary and
tertiary colors of Yellow and Gray reduce the total rarity of this
diamond, but as this image shows, Green is the overpowering
coloration of this rectangular cushion cut diamond. Dealing
in the colored diamond marketplace every day, we realize that the
rarest colors are being purchased the minute they come off the
cutter's wheel still warm from polishing, sometimes before they
receive a GIA certificate. We are making it a strategy to
attempt to find the rarest of the fancy colored diamonds in 2006,
still reasonably priced, to present to clients. Buy rarity
while you still can; you will not be disappointed in the long
run. Very solid Green diamond.

The prices of Pink diamonds in 2006 have once again had another
very strong advance due to their increasing scarcity. The
pink diamond sighting from the Argyle Mine in 2007 will likely be
less than 10 pink diamonds in total, so collectors and investors
have been very active in seeking out these ever and ever scarcer
beauties over the last 4 years. Since 2002, it can be stated
with some certainty that as a class of colored diamonds, Pink
diamonds have doubled in price. The top, you say?
Hardly. As more and more funds are funneled into the fancy
colored diamond arena due to an increasing lack of alternatives in
the very troubling years ahead, the fact that production of pink
diamonds has basically ground to a halt will cause Pink diamond
prices to double several times over. I told investors and
collectors about the potential for price appreciation in pink
diamonds almost 4 years ago, and I have been proven right in
spades. Diminutive, but affordable, deeply saturated
Purplish Pink diamond at a stellar price for a Vivid.

Here is another fantastic Orange diamond that our suppliers in
India have made available to us. The cut is an oval that has had
Step Cuts made into the surfaces of the diamond to enhance
brilliance to an otherwise Deeply saturated colored diamond.
"Deep" level colors can tend to be a little heavy in toning with an improper
cut and certainly the marketplace prices these "heavy"
or dull colored diamonds accordingly. However, there is
quite a bit of artistry with this SCoval cut diamond that was displayed at the cutter's
wheel. The skillful cutter created a very unique, nicely brilliant diamond while
still retaining a rich Orange as the predominant color. With
an almost 3.5 carat weight/size, this Orange diamond with
facet flashes of equally rich yellow hues is in a category by
itself when it come to Yellow-Orange diamonds. Eye-clean at
SI1 clarity. Did I say that Deep colored diamonds were
generally undervalued in the market as a class?

We are rapidly running out of pink diamonds this year, and by
Fall, it is quite likely that I will have nary a pink diamond to
sell. This Intense PURE PINK diamond reminds me of a
Strawberry hard candy, but the sweetest thing about it is its
Intense, rich color. The cut is somewhat of a mix between a
cushion and oval shape with a wonderful result of not only rich
color, but fiery brilliance for those who just can't give up the
sparkle of brilliant white diamonds. Cutters always risk
lessening the total color presentation of a colored diamond based
upon their selection of cutting shape, but this original cut does
justice to the finely colored rough that came out of the ground
after millions of years. For an over-half-carat weight in an
Intense Pink and VVS2 Clarity to boot, I think this diamond is
under-priced. Buy it before I change my mind.

Welch's Grape Juice comes to mind from the very unusual (and rare)
coloring of this fancy diamond. The color Purple is of
course the equal combination of Red and Blue, two primary colors
that are at the top of the colored diamond rarity scale.
But, as we have discussed on these pages several times before,
PURPLE is more rare than Blue, and competes with pure Green and
pure Orange just below the pinnacle of Red. Now, this is not
an eye-clean gem with a borderline SI3 to I1 clarity designation,
but who cares because the color is one of a kind! Remember
that this magnification is easily 50x the actual gem's size, so
you will have to squint to see the feather inclusions when you
hold this diamond in your hand. Remember what I have told
you about diamonds graded at the DEEP level of color saturation or
intensity: the market under-prices them left and right
because they tend to be less brilliant in sparkle than vivid level
diamonds and below. But the fact remains that they are must
rarer than Vivid, Intense, or Fancy colored diamonds. Eventually,
the price will reflect RARITY REALITY.
